Lynne Shallcross is a multimedia journalist based in Washington, D.C. and a web producer for Kaiser Health News.
As a 2014-2015 Kaiser Permanente Institute for Health Policy Journalism Fellow, Lynne produced an interactive multimedia project that won a 2015 Online Journalism Award from the Online News Association. The project explores the rise of mobile health and medical apps, looking at how they affect us throughout the lifespan.
Lynne's work has appeared in such outlets as CNN, NPR, MSNBC, Al Jazeera America and the nation’s most-listened-to public radio station, KQED.
Lynne earned dual bachelor’s degrees in journalism and Spanish from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a master's degree in journalism from the University of California, Berkeley, where she focused on multimedia reporting and health coverage.
